Butterfly Wedding Decorations

Dresses: Sew the applique butterflies on to the dress of bride. And if the bride is going to have a headpiece, then sew the smaller matching butterflies at the headpiece. Or the butterfly tiaras now are easily available at any bridal shop. For the groom and ushers, you might have using the boutonnieres with a flower, so simply attach a butterfly pin to the stem of a flower.
Also sew the butterfly appliques on the dresses of the bridesmaids. You can stitch them on the edge of a sleeve, along the hem or near the neckline. Use the appliques with the colors matching to the dress or you can also dye them. If you are using a garter then attach butterfly applique in the middle of the garter.
Wedding Venue: Any location can be decorated with the butterfly theme.
Flowers: Use wild flower bouquets for the butterfly theme and insert some butterfly picks into it. Use specifically those flowers to which the butterflies gets attracted like- Asters, Phlox, Honeysuckle and Lilacs. If your wedding theme is based on some specific species of a butterfly then find out to which flower that particular butterfly is attracted. So use those flower bouquets through out the venue and at centerpieces.
Table decorations: the table decorations can include floating butterfly candles, small pot with wild flowers and butterfly picks inserted into it, and butterfly confetti. Use pillar candles as centerpieces and wrap the bottom with ribbon attached with a butterfly applique in the center. Devote each table with a specific butterfly. Decorate the table with the colors of that specific butterfly. Use a beautiful butterfly applique as cake topper.
Decorate the hall or venue with flower garlands and various sized and colored butterflies to it. You can also use the butterfly name holders. Hanging bird or butterfly cages will add more beauty to the theme. Using a wide ribbon bow with the butterfly applique attached at the center can be used to decorate many items like pillars, candles, cake, cake knife, guest books, pen sets, favors, pew and the door ways.
Give butterfly shaped cookies or chocolates as wedding favors. Put them in small box decorated with stenciled butterflies from the outside. Create an elegant guest book use stencil butterflies.
You might have wondering that why we not suggested butterflies released at your wedding. That's because there might occur some problems as butterflies are migratory and many companies which provides them catch them from various location. So when they get released they didn't understand where to migrate and end up dying in unfavorable conditions like winter. There are many other problems over releasing the butterflies, so the bride and groom should aware of it before choosing it.
While choosing the color of the butterflies, you can go from a simple white colored butterfly to any specific species which suits your personality. Any way, the butterfly wedding decoration simply adds elegance to the wedding.
